Little corellas

Ian and Margaret Bartlett of Strathalbyn believe little corellas have been more destructive and noisy this year than ever before, even destroying the tops of their avocado trees.

Ian and Margaret Bartlett believe this year little corellas have caused more damage to their Strathalbyn property than ever before, as the State Government continues to work on a strategy for the birds which was due to be completed over a year ago.
The couple has been living in a home which backs onto the Eastern Fleurieu School grounds for 45 years and Mrs Bartlett said they had noticed the flock becoming bigger, noisier and more destructive over the past 15 years. The Government’s strategy will co-ordinate management of little corellas across the State through regional Landscape SA boards.
