Dawn service

There will be no public dawn service at the Mt Barker war memorial this Anzac Day, with the RSL sub-branch hosting an invitation-only event.

The Mt Barker Anzac Day dawn service will not be open to the public, while other local RSL sub-branches are planning their ceremonies to go ahead as usual with crowds.
The Mt Barker ceremony at the war memorial on Mann Street attracts up to 6000 people and is usually followed by a community breakfast at the RSL building, but sub-branch secretary Rebecca Douglass said next month’s service would be by invitation only.
