More action needed at intersection

Monarto resident Barrie Gale, front left, and Callington’s Melissa Wegener are among a group of locals, including Jamie Defazio, back left, Neil and Anne Willis, Jodie Wegener, Aaron Willis and Melanie Reiffel, who are calling for more safety upgrades to the notorious intersection between the Old Princes Highway and Schenscher and Ferries McDonald roads in Monarto.

Monarto residents fear recent safety upgrades won’t be enough to fix a notorious local intersection after two serious crashes in less than a week.
A 39-year-old Uraidla man was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with critical injuries and a Victorian man has been charged with dangerous driving after their cars collided at the intersection between the Old Princes Highway and Schenscher and Ferries McDonald roads in Monarto last week.
