Soccer kicks first goal

Clashes between the Mt Barker United (red) and Cove soccer clubs were the first to be held at the new Mt Barker Summit Sport and Recreation Park on Saturday.

Soccer was the first sport played at Mt Barker’s $23m Summit Sport and Recreation Park on the weekend.
On Saturday the Mt Barker United and Cove soccer clubs became the first teams to play at the Springs Road facility, which currently consists of a grass oval and two synthetic soccer pitches as well as two grandstands among other facilities.
