Up to 80 trees to be axed

Between 70 and 80 trees could be removed to allow the remaining 1.3km unsealed portion of Harrogate Road to be upgraded.

As many as 80 trees could be removed as part of a project to seal the remainder of the main road into Harrogate.
The Mt Barker Council voted on Monday to press on with its plan to repair and seal a 1.3km stretch of Harrogate Road, which leads into the town and was damaged in the December 2019 Cudlee Creek bushfire.
