Master sculptor Silvio Apponyi will soon have a 10-tonne block of granite delivered to his Balhannah workshop for his latest commission.
And after several months of chipping, cutting, grinding, sanding and smoothing there will be four tonnes of rubble and a magnificent six-tonne sculpture.

Hills sculptor Silvio Apponyi has been commissioned to carve a 6t granite water dragon for the Brisbane Botanical Gardens which will be based on this model.
