Pedestrian refuge bid for busy road

A local council has backed calls for a pedestrian refuge on Pomona Road near its intersection with Avenue Road, Mt Barker Road and the freeway access ramps.

A pedestrian refuge would be built near a “dangerous” Stirling intersection under a proposal backed by the Adelaide Hills Council.
The council will write to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport in support of a resident’s proposal to build a pedestrian refuge in the middle of Pomona Road, near its intersection with Avenue Road, Mt Barker Road and the freeway access ramps.
