$100,000 high-tech farming robot has a bug

Scientist Dr Rohan Kimber, left, and Uraidla-based vegetable farmer Richard Cobbledick are excited to see modern technology used to achieve better pest-management for local producers.

A $100,000 high-tech robot is assisting Hills farmers in their fight against invasive bugs and pests which could be infecting their crops.
The eight week deployment of the machine is being led by Hort Innovation with the support of 17 other organisations and uses a robot called Sentinel 7 to identify, capture and warn farmers of real-time horticulture threats.
