Bumpy road for Strathalbyn rideshare

Strathalbyn Tourism Association executive committee member Graham Dean said his town needs rideshare.

The battle for rideshare services in Strathalbyn has again been stalled with the town’s tourism association “getting nowhere” after a year of campaigning.
The Strathalbyn Tourism Association (STA) executive committee member Graham Dean said it had spent the last year writing to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), Transport Minister Corey Wingard and the Alexandrina Council to push for more reliable transport options.
He said the STA feared the lack of transport coverage in the town was causing unnecessary hazards on its roads and putting its visitors at risk with no safe means of getting around the town without driving yourself.
