Training and education at regional and rural hospitals will get a $60m boost thanks to a Federal Government bid to increase capacity and viability of regional health services.
The State-wide funding commitment, which includes Mt Barker Hospital, would enable hundreds of medical students, nurses, midwives and dentists to undertake training in regional facilities each year.
