Gumeracha GPs have urged the public to contact their MPs ahead of the State election, as the town’s emergency department (ED) remains closed for the “foreseeable future” because of a lack of doctors.
In a statement on the Gumeracha Medical Practice website, the medical team said they had spent “years pleading with the health bureacracy at all levels”, but had not been successful in receiving the assistance they say is vital to safely staffing the emergency department.
