Family fears 24/7 petrol station will pose risk to students

Danielle Grant-Cross, left, and Matthew Cross, second right, with their children Xavier and Zachary, concerned over plans by Peregrine Corporation to build a 24/7 retail fuel outlet which Mrs Grant-Cross said would encourage truancy and lead to children regularly crossing a dangerous road to access the site – putting their safety at risk.

A 24/7 OTR retail fuel outlet opposite the Heathfield Oval would be a safety concern for families and risk the encouragement of antisocial behavior among high school students according to parents and Heathfield residents Matthew Cross and Danielle Grant-Cross.
Motivated by concern for their children Zachary and Xavier Grant-Cross, Mr Cross and Mrs Grant-Cross said they wanted to speak out and give their perspective as parents.
