The Mid Torrens Catchment Group has recently unveiled a new picnic space and short walking trail in a section of bushland at Cudlee Creek.
Just a month ago a patch of bushland along Gorge Road which connected to a gravel turnout section on the otherwise barricaded and winding road was thick with a mixture of invasive weeds and native flora, with little to no access to a small stretch of the Torrens River from the road.
Since then, thanks to the efforts of the Mid Torrens Catchment Group – including chair Joan Gibbs and project officer Bob Wake – weed-infested sections have been cleared for pathways, a park seat bench and a picnic table.
