Tomorrow marks Dawesley man Ross Blanchard’s 100th birthday, which he says he’ll celebrate with his one and only “medication” – a tall glass of gin and tonic.
After his birth in Perth, WA, on September 28, 1923, his family soon moved to Wellington, NZ.
Growing up, he cycled over the 196 metre high Mt Victoria to school – a journey made easier when a tunnel was opened in 1931.
