This Saturday marks the 120th Upper Sturt Arbor Day, a time-honored event that brings members of the community together to maintain a local cemetery and look back through the annals of Upper Sturt’s history.
The event was created in 1905 by local teacher Bessie Moore, who wanted local people to dedicate one day each year towards the Upper Sturt Cemetery’s upkeep.
