The Adelaide Hills Council says “significant” damage has been done to a Bridgewater creek because of amateur gold prospectors using heavy machinery.
The council has received complaints for over two years about gold prospecting using “motorised equipment” in the Cox Creek, a stream which runs through the Piccadilly Valley from near Uraidla and joins the Onkaparinga River near Mylor.
