The Mt Barker Council will disband the Summit Sport and Recreation Park (SSRP) board and manage the $23m facility in-house, as Mayor David Leach pledges to get more “boots back on the ground”.
At a meeting earlier this month councillors agreed not to re-engage the board after its term ends on December 4.
