It is disappointing, but not entirely surprising, that the Liberal Party has somewhat backed away from David Speirs’ promise to build a bypass at Hahndorf. Mr Speirs’ original promise, made at a time when he was leading the party, was somewhat off the cuff and there would need to be a significant amount of work done to get to the point where an ideal option could be identified and funded.
