Save historical art
LYNTON Vonow’s letter (The Courier, April 2) mentions the threat from a proposed wind farm to Peramangk rock art in the eastern Mt Lofty Ranges.
I organised several tours of these rock art sites led by Robin Coles. Some of them date back to the last ice age (about 14,000 years ago).
These are therefore prehistoric sites.
All of this rock art is on private land and has heritage protection, not that this offers much protection if push comes to shove, and I support Mr Vonow’s plea to preserve them.
I was also glad to hear that the Earth is cooling (G. Inkster, The Courier, April 2), but is this just another conspiracy theory?
