The man who allegedly started the Cherry Gardens bushfire while intoxicated has stood trial in the District Court, with the prosecution alleging he lit seven fires in the Hills on a 37C day.
Gregory John McGannon, 63, of Hallett Cove, has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of causing a bushfire and one aggravated count of driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit.
