Triple Treat - Cambrai Complete Torrens Valley Trifecta

One is good, two is pretty good, but three is even better ... that may have been the feeling on the Marne River Plains last Saturday night as the Cambrai Skunks completed a Torrens Valley Cricket Association A-grade premiership three-peat by defeating minor premier Birdwood in the 2024-25 grand final held at Birdwood Oval. After winning back-to-back titles and breaking an A-grade title drought lasting 38 years in 2023, the Skunks have again produced its best cricket when it counted to claim a third consecutive triumph. It was hot and trying conditions at Birdwood, as Cambrai batted first and produced some crucial partnerships to post an eventual winning score of 7/147. In other news from the Marne River Plains, it was to prove a case of double joy for the second consecutive year as Cambrai also claimed the B-grade premiership by also defeating Birdwood in Saturday’s grand final, certainly leaving the Marne River Plains flooded with historic successes by the Skunks.
